Surprise New Year's Kittens!
We were contacted about a litter of 6 tiny 3-week old kittens on New Year's Day. Sadly, their Momma had been hit by a car, leaving them orphaned. No other rescues had room.
Caring for kittens this young is a labor-intensive, round the clock affair! Four Paws has no paid staff or regular volunteers to call on. Jerry and Elaine tag-team during emergencies!

"Scotty" UPDATE!
This poor kitten was abandoned in a feral colony and was being attacked by another cat in the colony. We took him in, as the group that initially picked him up had no room for him. He had an upper respiratory infection and, also, tested positive for FIV. We had 4 FIV positive kittens early last spring that we held for 6 months hoping that they would shed the disease and they did. We are hoping Scotty will do the same!
SCOTTY IS GAINING WEIGHT AND LOOKING GREAT!
Sadly, sweet little "Winter" passed over the Rainbow Bridge on 2/26/24.
